Minnie’s Yoo Hoo – Mickey Mouse Theme Song (dt. Mickys Titelmusik) ist ein Lied von 1929, das von Micky im Cartoon Mickys große Liebe vorgetragen wird. Micky besingt darin die Liebe zu seiner Minnie.

Das Lied wurde erstmals im Cartoon „Mickey’s Follies“ verwendet. Später wurde ein weiteres Video produziert, welches ab 1930 für die Veranstaltungen des Mickey Mouse Club (nicht zu verwechseln mit der Fernsehsendung ab 1955) als Erkennungslied diente und zu diesem Zweck von Kinobesitzern gekauft werden konnte. Hierbei wurden hauptsächlich Animationen aus dem Cartoon entwendet, lediglich ein anderes Hintergrundbild genutzt. Zudem gab es zusätzliche Animationen. Dazu gehören das Schließen des Vorhangs; Micky; der aus dem Vorhang herausguckt, um die Leute zum Singen zu animieren; sowie die Band, die statt Minnie das „Yoo Hoo“ ruft.

Micky hofft, mit Hilfe des Liedes „Minnie’s Yoo Hoo“ nicht an Minnie zu denken.
  • Erst im Jahre 2002, mit der Veröffentlichung des Cartoons auf der DVD Walt Disney Kostbarkeiten: Micky Maus in Schwarz-Weiß 1, bekam das Lied auch eine deutsche Fassung und damit auch den deutschen Titel Mickys Titelmusik.
  • Eine Instrumentalversion des Liedes wurde bis 1934 als Titelmusik der Micky-Maus-Cartoons verwendet.[1]
  • Dies ist das einzige Lied, für den Walt Disney als Komponist genannt wird, und der erste Disney-Song, der auf Noten herausgebracht wurde. Der zweite war der Hit „Wer hat Angst vor’m bösen Wolf?“.
  • Eine Schallplatte spielt das Lied in Floyd Gottfredsons „Mr. Slicker and the Egg Robbers“. [2]
  • Im Strip „A ‚Pot‘ Shot“ trägt Micky Minnie das Lied vor, bevor er von Minnies Vater mit einem Blumentopf beworfen wird. [3] Ein 1990 geschaffenes Remake erschien in Deutschland im Jahr 2021 in der Floyd Gottfredson Library 1.[4]
  • Die Fernsehserie The Mouse Factory benutzte das Lied als Abspannmusik.[5]
  • Eine Instrumentalversion diente als Titellied zur Trickserie Neue Micky Maus Geschichten.
  • Ein Remix des Songs ist im Videospiel Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Dancing Museum enthalten.
  • In der Folge Micky, der Kulturbanause (Mickey and the Culture Clash) der Trickserie Mickys Clubhaus singt Micky eine textlich abgewandelte Version des Liedes, das Minnie als „unser Lied“ bezeichnet. [6]
  • In den beiden Micky-Maus-Folgen „Minnie’s Parfüm“ („Eau de Minnie“) und „Das Limonaden-Rennen“ („Bottle Shocked“) wird das Lied angeteasert: In „Minnie’s Parfüm“ pfeift Minnie es während ihrer Vorbereitungen zu ihrem Date und in „Das Limonaden-Rennen“ ist es der Klingelton von Mickys Handy.
  • Bei der im Text genannten Whippoorwills handelt es sich um die im Osten der USA und Süden Kanadas vorkommende Schwarzkehl-Nachtschwalben.

Der Song ist auf dem Album The Official Album of Disneyland enthalten. Carl Stalling und Walt Disney haben dieses Lied gemeinsam geschrieben.
