Als Titellied der Fernsehsendung Mickey Mouse Club komponierte dessen Moderator Jimmie Dodd den Mickey Mouse March, der auch als The Mickey Mouse Club March bekannt wurde. Das Titellied bekam auch ein langsameres Reprise als Abspann mit etwas anderem Text. Eine kürzere Fassung des Openings wurde in späteren Folgen und bei Wiederholungen benutzt.
Allgemein
Im Vorspann der Show wird das Lied von Jiminy Grille und einem Chor gesungen, es endet mit Donalds humorvollem Versuch, einen Gong mit „Mickey Mouse Club“-Titelzug zu schlagen. Dieser Versuch endet meist mit einem unerwarteten Gag, etwa wird Donald überraschend vom Blitz getroffen, der Gong entpuppt sich als Torte oder Donald schlägt stattdessen eine Triangel.
Dodd komponierte und schrieb auch noch andere Lieder für die Sendung, etwa die Lieder, die Wochentag-spezifisch ein bestimmtes Thema einleiten:
- Montags: „Fun with Music“
- Dienstags: „Guest Star“
- Mittwochs: „Anything Can Happen“
- Donnerstags: „Circus“
- Freitags: „Talent Round-up“

Hintergrundwissen
Auf das rhythmische Buchstabieren von Mickys Namen im Mickey Mouse March wird auch beim Titellied der Fernsehserie Micky Maus Wunderhaus angespielt. Wegen der unterschiedlichen Anzahl an Buchstaben heißt es hier in der deutschen Synchronisation „M-I-C-K-Ypsilon, M-A-U und S“.
