I'm the guy they call little Mickey Mouse
Got a sweetie down in the chicken house
Neither fat nor skinny, she's the horses whinny
She's my little Minnie Mouse

When it's feeding time for the animals
Hallo Leute, mich nennt man Micky Maus.
And they howl and growl like the cannibals
Hab ein Schätzchen unten im Hühnerhaus.
I just turn my heel, to the hen house steal
Nicht zu fett, nicht zu dünn,
And you hear me sing this song
sie geht mir nicht aus dem Sinn
meine süße kleine Minnie Maus.
Oh, the old tom cat with his meow, meow, meow
Wenn die Fütt’rungszeit für die Tiere kommt
Old houn' dog with his bow, wow, wow
und es brüllt und kreischt aus den Ställen kommt,
The crows caw, caw, and the mule's hee-haw
dann mach ich mich schnell auf
Gosh what a racket like an old buzz saw
zu dem Hühnerhaus
und dann singe ich dieses Lied:
I have listened to the Kookoo kook his koo-koo
Oh, die alte Katze macht: „Miau, miau, miau!“
And I've heard the rooster cock his doodle doo doo
Der alte Hund, der macht: „Wau, wau, wau!“
With the cows and the chickens, all sound like the dickens
Die Krähe: „Krah, krah!“
I hear my little Minnie's yoo hoo...
Und der Esel: „I-Ah!“
Ich kann euch sagen, Leute, das ist ein Radau.
Oh, the blue bird down in the cherry tree
Manchmal macht der Kuckuck fröhlich dazu: „Kuckuck!“
And the busy buzz of the bumble bee
Und der Hahn kräht, was das Zeug hält: „Kikeri!“
Evening bells a ringin', whip-poor-wills a singin'
All die Hühner und die Kühe,
Well they don't mean much to me
doch ich mach mir gern die Mühe
denn dann hör ich meine Minnie...
For my heart is down in the chicken house
''Minnie:'' ...Juhuu!
Where I long to be with my Minnie Mouse
And I'll meet her there, mid that fragnance rare
Sing to her this melody

Oh, the old tom cat with his meow, meow, meow
